Congratulations! So you've got the job: now what?
This course covers everything you need to know as a young professional during the first three months of your new role: from before you start, through your first day to your first 90 days.
We've designed this course for the Aotearoa New Zealand workplace, in an office context, though the majority of the information is also generally applicable to other workplace contexts too.
What you'll learn:
- What it means to be professional
- Building responsibility and how to step up and lead
- What to do when you don't know what to do
- Putting together and following a plan for your career development so you can see how you've grown and where to go next.
We'll also talk about the concept of the 'workplace athlete' and the 'roadmap through the workplace maze', and how you can apply these principles into your work.
We expect this course will take you around four hours to complete the online modules, across three months. This includes reflection (thinking) time.
When do I start:
Aim to start the course two weeks or more before your new role starts, or as soon as possible after starting a new role.
